Learn How To Make $5,000 a Month Blogging

August 31st, 2008

I have just joined a membership site where a stay at home Mom of 4 teaches you how you can earn $5,000 (or even more) a month by niche blogging.

She reveals all her methods, secrets, tips, as well as gives step by step instructions on how to create your own niche blogging empire on The Niche Blogger. How does she know how to do all this? Because she herself makes 5K a month from home by niche blogging. And it’s not like she is at the computer all day, she is busy raising 4 kids, and you know how time consuming they are.

I obviously know how to blog myself, but I am not even close to making nearly as much as she is from my blogs. She knows a lot about how to actually monetize your blog and how to get lots of traffic.

I asked if this was just for the newbies or if it’s also for people who already know how to set up blogs. She said it’s for both. There are instructions for newbies who know nothing and there are advanced techniques for people who already know how to blog.

I am paying $8.95 a month to learn everything she knows and she says if we follow her instructions we can even make more than she does (if we put more time in it).

Who is this NOT for:

Anyone who is lazy and doesn’t want to do anything.

Anyone who expects to get rich over night.

If you are serious about blogging, if you want to learn how to make a full time income from blogging, or if you just want to set up a few blogs in your spare time and monetize them, I recommend you join me in this membership site.

Proven Ways To Drive Targeted Traffic To Your Website

August 24th, 2008

Ok, here is a list of ways you can get targeted traffic to your website. And you know the more targeted traffic you get, the more money you can make.

1) E-mail campaigns
Used carefully, e-mail campaigns can easily drive targeted traffic to your website.  This can be done by providing good information in the body of the message and then offering a link that will bring people to your site.

2) Articles

Informative articles, especially well-written how-to articles, are proven traffic baits for affiliate marketing sites.  Include links to similar or additional information within the content body that can only be read from your site.

3) Newsletters and e-zines

People love information. People love free. And people love quality information. Offering a free newsletter or ezine is a great way to get targeted traffic to your site.

4) Blogs

Besides your affiliate marketing site, also use a blog to get in touch with possible customers.  Blogs are  more personal and lighter in tone than most affiliate business sites and they can be a great source of information, news, advice and tips from you.  Include a link from your blog to your affiliate marketing site. Blogs are also easy to set up.

5) Social bookmarking sites

Like Digg, Technorati, Del.icio.us and more. These sites can produce a rich source of targeted traffic that you can drive to your  website.  Your market demographics are also easier to define so sending out invitations to potential leads and members is a lot easier.

6) Discussion forums and boards

By leaving useful and quality comments on discussion boards and forums, you encourage other members to react and visit your website.  You’ll be able to build a networking relationship from here.  Make sure to sign with a link back to your affiliate marketing site.

7) Guest blogging

You could drive another blog’s captured traffic to your affiliate site by becoming a guest blogger.  If you can write well and can offer unique and useful content, the site’s readership will find you interesting enough to follow you to your own site.

8) Allow bookmarks on your web pages

If you have content, you can drive traffic to your affiliate marketing site by allowing your readers to bookmark certain pages.  This will help promote those pages and your website to other people who might be interested in the same subjects.

9) Host a contest

Locate your target market and then promote a contest through ads or e-mails.  All details must be found on your affiliate marketing website so you can drive traffic there.  Registration must also be performed on one of your landing pages.  Just make sure to offer prizes that visitors who will be coming in will find useful.

10) Freebies

There’s nothing like a free gift to drive targeted traffic to your affiliate marketing site.  It’s easy to implement and can be relatively cheap.

How to Choose A Niche for Affiliate Marketing

August 15th, 2008

Everybody is looking to earn money in the most convenient manner possible. Everyone seems to be looking for the easiest way to get some extra money they would need to pay for their increasing expenses. A lot of people are asking how can they earn money online quickly and legitimately. The answer can be as simple as 2 words. Affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing came to be in the early part of the 20th century. It was like a little speck when it started, proved itself to be effective, so therefore it expanded and now everybody seems to be enjoying the benefits of affiliate marketing.

If you are a new person in the affiliate marketing industry you might be asking yourself: What is affiliate marketing? Well, derived from the word itself – affiliate marketing is an affiliation between you and another company that has something to sell and you will help them get exposure and sell their products. Companies will gladly pay individuals that can get them sales through websites,  blogs, and other online promotions.

Having this said, so what do you need in order to plunge in to the world of affiliate marketing? To tell you frankly, you might be surprised to know that it really doesn’t require that much. Aside from a computer and a good internet connection and of course some time to this chosen online business.

Where to start? Well the first thing you need to do is to pick a niche. A niche can literally be anything. Some niches are more profitable than others. If there is a field where there is a type of demand and people are spending money, you can consider it. If your niche is “golf”, companies selling anything related to golf will be happy to pay you commissions if you can refer them customers.  That being said, it is obvious that you should have at least a website or blog online for your niche. The more traffic you have on that website – the better.

Here are some questions to ask yourself when looking for a niche:

1. What is in demand?

2. What do people want or need to spend money on?

3. What am I interested or knowledgeable about?

4. What are problems people need to have solved?

You can also go to Google and look up affiliate programs. If you have ideas for niches, use Google to find different affiliate programs and affiliate websites to see what’s available in those niches.

If you are interested in “herbs” for example, look up herb affiliate programs. If you’re interested in Nintendo Wii or tennis, look to see what’s available for those niches in affiliate programs.

Basics of How to Succeed As an Affiliate

July 29th, 2008

So there are a thousand different motivations and reasons for you to want to work online at home.  Have you realized that you won’t get rich by working for a boss and you really want to be rich?  Or do you want to be able to stay home with the kids? Or maybe you need to bring in extra cash for medicine, the rising cost of electricity and gas or you want some ridiculously expensive clothes?

Whatever your reason may be, if you want a good income going into your bank account, affiliate marketing can be a very viable path that you can follow.

So, what exactly is this affiliate marketing all about? It is a business opportunity that lets anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit to explore the world of passive income through marketing other people’s products or services. You earn commissions when you find customers for other peoples products. Keep in mind it is a business opportunity and not an hourly job. Some people start affiliate marketing and don’t make a dime. A lot of people look online for hourly jobs. These people are not entrepreneurial or independent and will never be “rich”. Though some people have no desire for that.

If you are serious about affiliate marketing and not an hourly job with a boss, then you have some entrepreneur in you as well as independence and desire.

So if you think you’d like to step into affiliate marketing, how can you be sure to find success in this field? Here are some very important tips you should remember:

1) Choose your niche carefully

One of the most important factors to consider when entering affiliate marketing is choosing the best affiliate company or products to market. It can make or break your earnings. If there is a certain niche that you’re most interested in, the easier you can go through the process of deciding what affiliate program to join. Make a list of your interests and see what affiliate programs you can find that are in those niches.

2) Create a website that gets followed

One of the best ways to bring in good money in affiliate marketing is through the creation of well-designed websites. Make sure that your site is easy to navigate and compels targeted visitors to take action-through purchasing or signing up for your list. A quality landing page that has a call to action for your targeted visitors to do what you need them to do has very good content that can either be reviews of a product, a video tutorial that lets visitors learns how to benefit and use the product well and an easy to locate opt-in form.

3) Use the power of freebies

Pretty much everyone likes free stuff. Useful content is what you can use in making the word free mean money to you. When you offer free content, like free reports for example, when the right people get hold of this report, it can translate to more referrals or purchases.

4) Learn how to get targeted traffic to your site

Even the best website in the world wouldn’t do any good if there was no traffic. You can’t benefit from your well-designed website, no matter how good your content and freebies are if you don’t have the right visitors. How do you drive targeted visitors to your website? Well I will write another post going into more detail about this, but here are a few basics: Search engine optimization, link building, social media, PPC ads, signatures in relevant forums, article marketing.

There are different ways on how you can successfully make people go to your site through these methods. You need to get the most traffic you can, but you want targeted traffic.

Follow all of the tips I just mentioned to get off to a great and profitable start in affiliate marketing.

Success Is Sticking Through the Frustrations

July 19th, 2008

Internet marketing is not always easy and success rarely comes right away. It can be extremely frustrating and that’s why most people give up on it. After trying internet marketing, they don’t make any money, get frustrated, and decide they’d rather have a regular job with steady hourly pay.

It can be frustrating writing articles, articles, and more articles putting them on an information site for adsense and get little or no traffic and no adsense income.

It can be frustrating writing articles to promote a product and nobody buys it.

It can be frustrating to work hard on a site just to have no traffic. It can be frustrating to have to pay a lot of money for traffic with adwords and then just end up losing all that money because the traffic doesn’t convert into sales.

It can be frustrating when you just can’t get ahead of the competition.

It can frustrating to hold very good sales just to have nobody buy.

It can be frustrating to promote a product on Clickbank, but everytime you log in, your account is always at $0.

So, yes there are definitely struggles in IM. There are disappointments and there are misses. There are certain things that are hard. Sometimes your work just doesn’t pay off and sometimes it takes longer than you expected for it to pay off.

This is exactly why so many people pack up their dreams of working from home and give it up for a regular and steady job. It may be boring, you may have terrible co-workers you hate, you may hate the schedule, but at least you get a reliable paycheck. You don’t with IM.

The Successful people are those who stuck it through the hard times. Even though they weren’t making sales, not making anything on Adsense or Clickbank, instead of giving up, they got up and brushed themselves off. They learned more, tried more, read more, and did more. They kept working hard, making good content, and doing more promotion. They dropped the products that did terrible and found new products. They kept at it.

And hard work and perseverance pays off in the long run. These are the people who may have gotten off to a slow start and lost money at first and had to learn a lot through their mistakes, but in the end they are making good money from home.

Spanish Article-Qué es el Mercadeo para Afiliados?

July 19th, 2008

Surveys Are A Waste Of Time

July 17th, 2008

A lot of people new to the concept of making money online see ads for paid surveys and get interested. There are some appealing ads saying something like “Earn $75 an hour doing paid surveys.” $75 an hour sounds really good. But use your common sense.

If anyone could get paid that much just to do paid surveys, then you wouldn’t see anyone working at restaurants and gas stations and other jobs. Why work minimum wage when you could work just 1 hour and get paid more than a whole day of working?

I hate to break it to you, but you can’t get paid $75 a hour or even close to complete paid surveys. Paid surveys are a complete waste of time.

There are websites that would have you believe you can make a lot of money on paid surveys and you have to pay to access these companies. First of all, the information they are trying to sell you is free on Google and second of all, you won’t make much at all doing surveys.

The truth is, most surveys don’t pay you a cent. If you choose to do them, you are just wasting your time. There’s probably a lot better things and more productive things you could be doing with your time than filling out some boring survey. A lot of them they want you to fill them out voluntarily cause you must have nothing better to do.

Most survey sites will simply enter you to win a sweepstakes instead of paying you. For every survey you complete, you get a chance to win a prize. The odds of you winning however, are very slim and I doubt a lot of them really even actually award the prizes they say they do.

Now, there ARE SOME survey sites that really do pay in cash. HOWEVER, it’s not so simple that anyone can simply complete them and get paid. You have to meet certain criteria to take the survey. They will ask you a few basic questions and if you don’t meet the criteria, you can’t take the survey. For example one survey may only want women between the ages of 25-45 who are homeowners. Another survey may only want men between the ages of 30-50 who make more than $100K a year. Another survey will only want women who have been diagnosed with a certain medical problem. The reality is, you won’t qualify for most of them. You will be lucky if you qualify to take half of them.

There are sites that will sell you the information of different survey sites that pay (if you meet their criteria). The same information is also free from Google and other websites if you do some digging around yourself.

It’s my conclusion surveys are a huge waste of time. They are time consuming, boring, and it’s very difficult to find surveys you actually get paid for. This is why you won’t see this website promoting any survey products.

Is Adwords Worth It?

July 14th, 2008

Google Adwords…it can be very profitable, very unprofitable, or you can work your butt off just to break even.

Is it worth it depends on the website you are promoting, the ad you wrote, and the CPC (cost per click) you bid on.

There isn’t one answer that will fit everyone. People who have made thousands of dollars will say, “Yeah!” it’s worth it. They love goodle adwords.

The people who have LOST thousands of dollars won’t say the same thing. They will say “No way!”, they hate Adwords and wish they never met it.

The good thing about Google Adwords is you can get lots of targeted traffic to your site fast. The bad thing is it can be very expensive. If what you are selling converts, then good. If nobody buys, then that’s bad.

If you want to try out Adwords without losing an arm and a leg, then the best thing to do is start out small. Set a small daily budget so that if nobody buys anything from you, which is possible, then you won’t be homeless.

The Pros Of Affiliate Marketing

July 14th, 2008

Affiliate marketing is good because you can get started right now and you can get started for free. There’s not a whole lot that you can start right now and for free.

And it doesn’t matter who you are really. You just have to have that desire. You can be a high school drop out or have a PhD. You can be young or old, it doesn’t matter.

The most popular place to get started for Affiliate Marketing is Clickbank.com. And right after that is CJ.com
